Parlay Odds Formula:
From: | To: |
A parlay bet (or accumulator) combines multiple individual wagers into one bet. All selections must win for the parlay to pay out. The potential payout is higher than placing each bet separately because the odds are multiplied together.
The calculator uses the parlay odds formula:
Where:
Example: If you combine three bets with odds of 1.50, 2.00, and 1.80:
Parlay Odds = (1.50 × 2.00 × 1.80) - 1 = 5.40 - 1 = 4.40 (or +440 in American odds)
Details: Decimal odds represent the total payout (stake + profit) per unit wagered. For example, 2.50 odds means you get $2.50 back for every $1 bet (including your stake).
Tips: Enter decimal odds for each leg of your parlay (minimum 2 legs). The calculator will compute the combined parlay odds. All odds must be 1.01 or higher.
Q1: What's the difference between decimal and American odds?
A: Decimal odds show total return per unit bet (2.50 = $2.50 return on $1 bet). American odds show profit per $100 bet (+150 = $150 profit on $100 bet).
Q2: How many legs can I include in a parlay?
A: Most sportsbooks allow 2-15 legs, but the more legs you add, the lower your chance of winning.
Q3: Are parlays a good betting strategy?
A: Parlays offer higher payouts but have lower probability than single bets. They're higher risk/higher reward.
Q4: What happens if one leg of my parlay pushes (ties)?
A: Typically, that leg is removed and the parlay continues with the remaining legs.
Q5: Can I combine different sports in one parlay?
A: Yes, you can combine bets from different sports as long as they're all available at the same sportsbook.
